Nailing Your Business’ Exterior

Right now, there is a lot of emphasis placed on getting your company’s website to look right and ensuring that your logo and branding is perfectly designed to attract your target market. This is understandable, it being the 21st century and all things digital being of utmost importance. However,  a lot of companies are focussing on nailing their digital storefronts at the expense of their bricks and mortar one, and this could be a big mistake!

Why? Despite the fact that online sales are making up more and more of business’ profits, there are still plenty of people who enjoy shopping offline and lots of clients who enjoy meeting face to face, and when they head out to do this, the first part of your business they will come into is your building’s exterior. That’s why it’s time to give your company’s exterior some TLC…

Invest in Eye-Catching Signage

Perhaps, the best way to make your company’s exterior stand out from all the rest and attract the attention of your target audience is by creating a bold sign that is both colorful and indicative of what your company actually does. Ideally, you should have a professional make this sign because if it looks shabby, instead of clean and sleek, it’s hardly going to create the fantastic first impression you’re looking for.

Install a Canopy

Placing aluminium canopies around your business is a very good idea because, as soon as it starts to rain, people will start to gravitate towards your building for the shelter they offer, thus making it more likely that they’ll come in and gives you some of their money. The right canopies can look quite attractive, and very professional too.

Keep it Clean

Keeping your building’s exterior clean is essential if you want to make a great first impression and encourage more footfall. If your building is covered in all manner of dirt and debris, it doesn’t say much for how you run the rest of your company now, does it?

Add Some Artwork

A great way to cheer up your business’ exterior and attract the right kind of attention is by hiring a good local artist to create a mural on one or more of your walls. You might need to get permission to do this, depending on local regulations, but it’ll be worth it when you have one of the most beautiful buildings in the area!

Add Some Accessories

Potted plants outside the entrance, a few small patio tables and chairs, flower beds – anything you can think of that will transform the space outside of your building and make it a more attractive place for the general public to spend time will undoubtedly result in increased sales and impress your clients.

Doing even just a few of these simple things to spruce up your business’ exterior will increase your profile and make your company more attractive, every bit as much as a great website design or a unique social media logo, so don’t neglect it!
