3 Ways To Make Money From Home

In 2018, it’s not uncommon for people to look for ways to make money on the internet. Years ago, a concept like this might’ve seemed far-fetched. Fast-forward to today and the possibilities are endless. Admittedly, it can take some time to build up to a full-time income. However, if you want to get started, it’s best to start small and work your way up. Consider these three ways you can work toward building a strong side hustle online.

  1. YouTube According to Alexa.com, Google is the #1 most visited website in the world. YouTube is owned by Google so this is a good thing for those who want to start a YouTube channel. Whether your passion is beauty, gaming or yoga, create a channel and share content on a consistent basis. If you really want to gain traction, post a new video once a week (at least). While it’s important to be consistent with these efforts, it’s also essential to make sure that you use the right keywords and video titles. YouTube won’t make you rich at first. In the beginning, you’ll have to do a lot of work. However, as you gain an audience, sponsored posts might be a great idea. Many companies will pay you to create content that promotes their product or brand. There are ways to monetize a YouTube channel outside of Adsense.
  2. Affiliate Marketing Affiliate marketing is great because it’s also a form of passive income. You share information about a product once or twice and get paid for it continually. If you post content to a blog and include affiliate links, every time a person visits the blog post and purchases from that link, you’ll get a commission. Most companies have an affiliate program. You can visit sites like ShareASale to find a bunch of companies in one place. Amazon is a powerhouse and even they have an affiliate program. If you decide to become an online business owner as your side hustle, create a blog post on your website that focuses on all the tools you used to create your website. Include a shopping cart affiliate and web hosting affiliate. Each time a person visits the page and purchases from those links, you’ll get paid. This one move has allowed many bloggers to earn hundreds of thousands of dollars. While these results aren’t typical, they’re certainly possible.
  3. Online Courses If you’re an expert in a specific field and would prefer to get paid on a more consistent basis, consider course creation. Unlike YouTube, you have the opportunity to set the price and monetize your information in the way that you please. There are lots of teaching platforms that can walk you through the process of creating and monetizing your own course. Once it’s complete, promote it ferociously for a steady amount of income.
